Qualifications for Masters in China (what are the requirements?

There are few documents you need to apply for a master in China. Then, you also have to meet preset qualifications. Let’s look at the points below

• You need a valid Passport which is at least 6 months to expiry, We advise at least 1 year
• You should have passed or completed a bachelor degree or equivalent
• Then you need 2 recommendation letters from your tutors / or employers
• Properly complete the medical examination by the help of a physician
• You need a complete transcript printed from your previous bachelor degree and certified by your previous University
• Language qualification – See below
• You should not be older than the age requirements – this varies with universities

Language requirements for Master in China

If you want to study English taught Masters in China, you need a proof of English proficiency

• If you are a native English Speaker, you don’t need to prove your English proficiency
• Non-native speakers who have been through at least 3 years of studying in English may not have to provide English proficiency tests.
• Otherwise, you must write SAT, TOEFEL, or IELTS

If you want to study Masters taught in Chinese Language, you will need at least HSK 5 which is the Chinese proficiency test in order to study in China. if you don’t have one already, feel free to apply. Most Universities will support you for 1 year intensive Chinese language program which is enough to pass the exams. You may have a preliminary offer pending that you complete your HSK exams and continue your studies.

Student Visa For International Students

International students who want to study master's in China need a China Student Visa called the x1 visa. Soon after admission, you are allowed to submit your visa application to the Chinese embassy in your country. It takes just 1 week to get your visa after submitting your documents.

To start the visa process, you need the following documents

• Passport with validity period not less than 6 months
• 4 – 2 inch passport size photograph that’s not more than 6 months old
• Admission Letter
• JW 202 from the ministry of Education. Provided by your University
• Financial statement if you don’t have a scholarship
• Completed Application Form

 

Can I work while I study?

You cannot be employed as a full time worker with a company while holding a student visa. International students could intern with an organization and will need approval from university International student’s office.
