Description

The International and Comparative Education Program at BNU has two separate tracks, Comparative and International Education (CIE) and International Educational Development (IED). CIE is based on an academic discipline in the social sciences, while IED is based on a professional specialization of education. Students in both tracks specify a concentration.

Program Benefits:

Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens holding a foreign passport and under 50 years old (Note for Chinese Government Scholarships applicants: master’s degree applicants should be under 35 years old; doctorate degree applicants should be under 40 years old).

  1. Applicants should be in good health and of good character, respect Chinese habits and customs and be willing to abide by both Chinese Law & Regulations and School Rules & Regulations.
  2. Applicants for Masters Degrees should have a degree equivalent (or above) to a Bachelor’s degree from a Chinese university. Applicants for Doctoral Degrees should have a degree which is equivalent (or above) to a Master’s degree from a Chinese university.

The only visa for studying in China is the China Student visa. So if you have secured admission into a Chinese University or college to pursue Degree Programs or even learn the Chinese Language for a semester / Year / or a short term like the summer. The China Student Visa is categorized into 2 major main types, known as X1 and X2. Usually, most international students get confused here but here is the difference. The X1 student visa is issued to students whose study with Universities irrespective of their course and also covering a duration longer than 6 months (up to 360 days). International students will get the X2 student visa if their intended time of stay is less than 6 months (<180 days). X1 visa holders have multiple entries which mean they can enter China and legally leave and re-enter any time of the duration of the Visa. Students who decide to travel in Asia, go home and also visit friends may do so without worrying about re-applying.
