About the accommodation

Students can choose from two accommodation options whilst studying at DUFE:

International student accommodation on campus – Qiushi Building
Off-campus – Ruan Jing E Ju
Off-campus – Dalian Design City Accommodation

About the on-campus accommodation

DUFE on-campus accommodation is a popular choice with international students as it is conveniently located in the west of DUFE’s campus, and within 10 minutes’ walk of most shops, canteens, and the teaching buildings.

The accommodation is exclusive to international students and is a great place to meet and make new friends. On-campus accommodation is a great value and offers new students a convenient environment to adapt to life at DUFE.

* The university operates an energy saving policy across the whole campus, which includes on-campus accommodation. Each room has an electricity limit per room to limit energy and power waste. In normal situations, students don’t usually exceed the stipulated limit.

Accommodation amenities

The Quishi building offers the following communal facilities:

Kitchens on the 2nd floor and 4th floor (includes refrigerators, microwave and electric stove)
Self-study room on the 3rd floor
Drying area on the 3rd floor
2 washing machines on the 1st floor (washing machine card-operated)
Heating will be provided from November – April each year

The main door of the accommodation building will be closed each day at 10:30 pm for safety, however, students can purchase a door access card to access the building after this time.

Students are required to clean their rooms themselves. A room cleaning service every 3 weeks is available on request, which is organized by the university.

Accommodation can be rented for a variety of periods, to accommodate different lengths of academic study and requirements.

About the University Summary

Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE) is located west of Xinghai Park in Dalian city, which is a famous national scenic site. Founded in 1952, DUFE is a multi-disciplinary teaching and research university with particular strength in the fields of economics and management. There are five discipline categories: economics, management, law, literature, and science. The university has 31 undergraduate majors, 72 master's programs, and 42 doctoral programs. Four of the doctoral programs are authorized first-class PhD programs. The university is also home to three first-class post-graduate research institutes, three national-level key programs, and four provincial-level key disciplines. In April 2012, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education, Liaoning Provincial Government signed an agreement to build DUFE together.

DUFE has over twenty years of experience in international education. It has produced thousands of graduates from over 80 countries all over the world. We have formed an International Students Education Management System which includes undergraduate programs, graduate programs, doctoral degree programs and short-term or long-term Chinese and Business Chinese courses. DUFE is a nationally designated Business Chinese Test (BCT) center and a test center for the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK). It is also a host institution of China Government Scholarship for international students. In 2012, in Liaoning Province’s examination and appraisal of universities which teach overseas students, DUFE ranked number one.

DUFE emphasizes a students-centered educational approach and our goal is to train the international students to master both economics and Chinese language. The International Institute of Chinese Language and Culture (IICLC) is a designated administrative institution at DUFE to recruit international students and to provide teaching and living facilities to students. IICLC has also established special undergraduate programs in Chinese Language, Economics and Management for international students. The current long-term international student’s population is more than 500, among whom about 60% are pursuing degrees. International students have their own teaching building, dormitory and restaurant.
